Tribunals write their decisions for lawyers. We read them for everyone else.A Rebel News project
COMMISSIONWATCH

The complaints, hearings, decisions and penalties of Canada's human rights commissions and tribunals.

Commission Watch · commissionwatch.ca

What they ruled, who paid, and what it means for you.

Every federal and provincial human rights commission and tribunal in Canada publishes its decisions. We pull the files, read the whole record, and tell you in plain language what was decided and what it cost the person on the other side.

How we read

The record is public. Almost nobody reads it.

Every entry is sourced to the published decision. The facts are enough.

  1. Exhibit A

    We pull the files

Each commission and tribunal publishes its decisions and hearing lists. We check them every day, federal and provincial, and open every new file.

  2. Exhibit B

    We read the whole decision

Not the press release. The complaint, the reasons, the remedy and the penalty: what was ruled, who was ordered to pay what, and to whom.

  3. Exhibit C

We tell you, and show our source

A short plain-language entry for the people on the receiving end, linked to the published decision or docket so you can check every line yourself.
